Marie "Augusta" Hackenberger     Anneliese Hackenberger
Cafe Augusta was inspired by the owners’ grandmother and great-grandmother, Marie Hackenberger. Marie, who was known affectionately by her family and friends as Augusta, was a classically trained French cook, who after marriage and children, continued to cook for her family as if she were cooking for  restaurant patrons—only with a family comfort food flair.
Family legend has it that whatever the time, day or night, whatever the financial circumstances, whatever the meager foodstuffs in the pantry, when family  or friends dropped in, Augusta cooked something amazing for everyone to enjoy.
Micheline and Mijanou, in the great tradition of family cooks everywhere, share with you, at CAFÉ AUGUSTA, their passion for their family comfort foods and other comfort foods from all over the world.  At CAFÉ AUGUSTA you can enjoy the whole world of cuisine without leaving town.
