Mijanou Burger Cackler
Mijanou, a Kansas native, learned cooking at a very young age and has been expanding her culinary repertory over the past 15 years to include comfort foods from Africa, South America and Asia. Mijanou
is balancing her creative work at Cafe Augusta with
running after two children, Akeza and Giovanna.
Mijanou’s training at the Johnson County Community College and the Institute for Culinary Education in New York have added to the skills already practiced by Mijanou for years while working in the catering and restaurant business. Now she is creating and cooking her recipes at Café Augusta for you to savor.
Mike
Valent Mike, a native of
Pittsburgh, PA, , has worked in the restaurant
business ever since he graduated from the University
of Kentucky with a degree in finance. His
restaurant experience has taken him from Kentucky to
Hawaii (where even after 4 years, he did not learn
to surf) and now to Kansas, where he is the
General Manager at Cafe Augusta. A gregarious
and creative Leo (one of many in the Cafe Augusta
kitchen), Mike brings his skill, experience, and
love of food and life to work every day. Mike
loves the color blue, long walks on the beach, sunny
vacation spots, hiking (he was previously a hike
leader for the LLS Hike for Discovery program), and,
on occasion, breakdancing and skydiving.
Mike is single, but that could change. . . with all
the interesting people he meets daily at Cafe
Augusta. The rest of us at Cafe Augusta are
delighted he is with us.
